EP Wealth Advisors, the Torrance, Calif.-based registered investment advisor with over $32.6 billion in client assets, has tapped Margaret Jarocki as head of partnership integration, reporting to Chief Operating Officer Jorge Bernal. Jarocki joins after 13 years at Captrust, where she was most recently senior director of integrations.
She replaces Debi Murphy, who retired earlier this year as managing director of partnership integration at the firm.
Jarocki has a long track record of orchestrating successful M&A integrations at Captrust, and she will do something similar at EP Wealth. She will run end-to-end integration efforts for each new partnership and collaborate with the M&A team, technology, operations and other key functions.
“Margaret’s track record of executing complex integrations with both operational precision and a client-first mindset makes her the ideal leader for this critical role,” Bernal said in a statement. “Her leadership will be instrumental as we continue to scale through strategic partnerships and accelerate our growth.”
EP Wealth had a record year for M&A activity in 2024, and the firm has completed several acquisitions this year. Most recently, it acquired Boise, Idaho-based Buffington Mohr McNeal, a fee-only RIA with $900 million in assets and 11 employees.
In 2023, EP hired Kyle Miller, a former vice president of mergers and acquisitions for insurance firm Acrisure, as its first M&A executive.
EP Wealth has more than 53 offices throughout 18 states. It provides financial, tax and estate planning and investment management for individuals and businesses.
In 2020, it sold a minority stake to Berkshire Partners, a Boston-based private investment firm.
