Northern Trust Names Katherine McCabe to Lead OCIO Strategy

Northern Trust Asset Management announced on Monday the appointment of Katherine McCabe as senior vice president and practice executive of asset servicing. McCabe will report to Melanie Pickett, head of asset servicing for the Americas at Northern Trust.  

In the newly established role, McCabe will be responsible for developing strategic relationships between Northern Trust and outsourced CIO providers and will lead Northern Trust’s asset servicing OCIO strategy. 

“Northern Trust is committed to building stronger relationships with the OCIO community to unlock the full potential of this space, and we believe Kate’s expertise will play a vital role in this effort,” Pickett said in a statement.  

McCabe was previously senior vice president and head of U.S. asset owner and Canadian sales at Northern Trust, and prior to that, she was the U.S. head of asset owner business development at BNY. McCabe earned a bachelor of science degree in business administration and finance from Bryant University.

Northern Trust managed $113.7 billion in assets for its OCIO clients, as of March 31.
