Motley Fool’s Wealth Unit Brings on Financial Planning Head
Motley Fool Wealth Management, an affiliate of Alexandria, Va.-based Motley Fool, has hired Sabrina Rosh from Ellevest as director of financial planning.
In the newly created position, Rosh will oversee the financial planning and company support team for the wealth management unit. She brings almost 20 years of experience in client support to the position, having worked at firms such as Fidelity Investments, Brighton Jones and Wealth Architects.
Her focus will be on planning for Motley Wealth’s clients in areas including retirement readiness, risk management and insurance.
“She combines technical expertise with client-centered leadership, and her role will help us build on the strength of our integrated approach and investment planning model while continuing to deliver a clear, personal experience for the families we serve,” Megan Brinsfield, president of Motley Fool Wealth Management, said in a statement.
In June, Motley Fool competitor NerdWallet acquired a registered investment advisor based in New York to start its own RIA, NerdWallet Wealth Partners. Both are targeting investors with fewer assets than the typical high-net-worth focus of many wealth managers.

The Board of Directors of CFP Board elected Martin Seay as its 2026 board chair-elect this week. Current chair-elect Terri Kallsen will become chair of the board of directors in 2026, and Seay will take that role in 2027.
Seay is a professor and researcher of personal financial planning at Kansas State University, where he also teaches in the CFP Board-registered undergraduate and Ph.D. programs. His focus areas include borrowing decisions, how psychological characteristics shape financial behavior and how consumers seek and use financial advice.
Seay joined the CFP Board as a board director in 2022 and is a member of the CEO Oversight and the Finance and Investment committees.
CFP Board CEO Kevin Keller announced earlier this year that he would be retiring after almost 20 years at the helm in April 2026. The board has not named a replacement.
