- Miami had the third-largest office asking rate and the fifth-highest sale price per square foot, according to a recent survey from Commercial Cafe. Miami had the highest occupancy last month with a vacancy rate of roughly 14.3%. The Florida powerhouse was one of only three Southern office markets to log vacancy rates lower than the national average of 19.4% in June.
- Ryan Companies, in partnership with Exalt Health, announced plans to develop a new inpatient rehabilitation facility in Riverview, Florida. The 40,000-square-foot facility will offer 40 beds and provide intensive physical, occupational and speech therapy services to patients with complex medical conditions. It’s located adjacent to the 223-bed BayCare St. Joseph’s South Hospital.
- Forman Capital closed a $9.7 million preferred equity investment into a brand-new rental apartment development in the Orlando market. Unicorp National Developments, Inc., a repeat borrower that successfully repaid two loans provided by Forman affiliates, plans to develop the 323-unit Elysian project. The Elysian site is located at 9743 Avalon Road in Horizon West.
- CP Group, a vertically-integrated commercial real estate company throughout the Sunbelt, announced that it has been selected by global investment firm Värde Partners to oversee asset and property management at One Financial Plaza, a 283,000-square-foot office tower in Downtown Fort Lauderdale.
- Lincoln Road, Miami Beach’s iconic pedestrian promenade, picked up over 24,000 square feet of new leases signed in recent weeks. New openings include the Florida debut of All’Antico Vinaio, the relocation of Ché by Chelsey from Brickell and DaVinci Gelato, a boutique concept from the makers of L’Arte del Gelato. Meanwhile, Victoria’s Secret/PINK and Alo Yoga are doubling down on the district with expanded flagships.
