  • Portman has hired Katie Tolson as Vice President of Development. With more than 18 years of experience in multifamily and mixed-use real estate, Tolson will help lead multifamily development projects in Texas and work in collaboration with Portman’s expanding team in Austin. Tolson brings a strong track record in land development, entitlements, design and construction management, having successfully delivered more than 1,400 multifamily units and over 130 acres of mixed-use projects throughout Texas and Colorado.
  • CenterSquare has acquired Shops at Aliana Trace, a 40,000 square foot new construction Essential Service Retail (ESR) property. The Property is situated within one of Texas’ fastest growing retail corridors along Houston’s 3rd ring highway, Grand Parkway. The Property is a 100% leased center that is home to a strong lineup of national tenants. This opportunity marks CenterSquare’s 53rd ESR shopping center acquisition.
  • Coldwell Banker Commercial Alamo City added Chad Andrus, founder of Andrus Land Group and an Accredited Land Consultant, to its Land & Ranch Division in San Antonio, Texas. Andrus brings over $130 million in land sales and 30,000 acres sold across Texas in the past five years to CBRE. He was most recently recognized as the 2023 and 2024 Regional Land Broker of the Year by the REALTORS® Land Institute.
  • Avison Young was appointed the exclusive leasing agent for two office properties totaling 295,656 square feet in Houston’s Westchase submarket. They include 9800 Richmond Avenue, an eight-story 177,397-square-foot building, and 11000 Richmond Avenue, a six-story 118,259-square-foot building. The buildings were acquired in April 2025 by Beyond Richmond Office. Beyond Richmond Office is currently underway on capital improvement plans.
  • Endeavor Real Estate Group broke ground last month on a student housing project on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Two apartment-style buildings will add amenities and retail space to the college campus. The first phase of that partnership moves forward with the new buildings that will add a total of 780 beds, as well as approximately 25,000 square feet of ground-floor retail space by the fall 2027 semester.
