Angie Davis Named CEO of JPMorgan’s Timberland Unit, Campbell Global

J.P. Morgan Asset Management announced Monday the promotion of Angie Davis to CEO of Campbell Global LLC, a timberland-focused investment manager and subsidiary of JPMAM.  

Davis, whose appointment is effective October 1, will succeed John Gilleland, CEO of Campbell Global since 2002, who has spent 43 years at the firm.  

Gilleland will transition away from his responsibilities as CEO over the next 12 months and will play an active role as chairman of the board of Campbell Global’s Australasia platform, chair of the firm’s allocation group and as a member of its investment committee and executive team, according to a statement from J.P. Morgan.  

“Angie is well-known and respected among Campbell Global’s clients and within J.P. Morgan Asset Management,” Gilleland said in the announcement. “Her leadership and dedication to the firm make her the ideal choice to guide Campbell Global into the future.”

The Portland, Oregon-based asset manager was acquired by J.P. Morgan Asset Management in 2021. The firm has $10.1 billion in assets under management across 1.4 million acres of timberland worldwide. JPMAM manages $3.7 trillion in assets, including $400 billion in alternatives.  

Campbell Global has managed more than 5 million acres for clients, including pension funds, foundations, family offices and other institutional investors. The firm is primarily focused on the U.S. Southeast, the Pacific Northwest, Chile, Australia and New Zealand.  

Davis, currently president of Campbell Global, has been at the firm for 25 years. She previously worked at State Street as a consultant and was assistant director of investments at the Oregon State Treasury. She earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting and finance from Linfield University in Oregon.
