Three Westport, Conn.-based financial advisors are leaving Procyon Partners, the Dynasty- and Constellation Wealth Capital-backed registered investment advisor with $8 billion in assets, to launch their own RIA, according to regulatory filings.
Procyon Senior Vice Presidents and Senior Private Wealth Advisors Frank J. McKiernan, Jerry R. Sneed and Zoltan Pongracz co-founded Third View Private Wealth, and will serve as managing partners of the new RIA. Third View recently joined the Protocol for Broker Recruiting, the intra-industry agreement allowing advisors some leeway in taking client data with them when they change firms, according to filings.
Procyon and Dynasty declined to comment. McKiernan did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Pongracz came on board at Procyon in 2021 from Barnum Financial Group, where he managed over $150 million in client assets. McKiernan and Sneed joined Procyon in 2023. Prior to that, they managed over $600 million in asset at Baker Tilly Wealth Management.
According to what looks like a draft of the new RIA’s website, they will provide financial planning, trust and estate advisory, multi-family office services, institutional consulting and benefits and risk management. The site indicates they’ll also provide access to private capital deals.
According to the new site, they’ll use Fidelity and Schwab for custody; eMoney, Orion and Black Diamond will be the basis of their technology stack.
Procyon was co-founded in 2017 by Phil Fiore with support from Dynasty. Before going independent, Fiore had built prominent institutional consulting groups at Merrill Lynch and UBS. A team of UBS advisors, including Fiore, Jeff Farrar, Lou Gloria, Tom Gahan and Christ Foster, formed Procyon’s initial core team.
Last month, Procyon sold a minority stake to Constellation, a private equity firm founded by former Emigrant Partners CEO Karl Heckenberg. The capital will help Procyon expand its talent pool and open new offices in key markets nationwide. Dynasty’s Investment Bank supported Procyon’s management team during the deal.
