BCG Penbridge Adds 2 Pension Risk Transfer Consultants

Defined benefit pension consulting firm BCG Pension Risk Consultants and BCG Penbridge added Tom Sablak and Sam Mossing to its de-risking consulting practice, the firm announced Tuesday. The duo will help drive and deliver cost management and de-risking consulting services for defined benefit pension plans, according to a firm statement.  

Sablak has 30 years of experience in pension actuarial consulting and previously held actuarial roles at Buck Global, October Three Consulting, CRG, JPMorgan, CCA Strategies and Hewitt. Over the past 15 years, he has focused on group annuity placements, pension plan de-risking and plan terminations, completing more than $6 billion in group annuity transactions and representing tens of thousands of DB plan participants. Sablak earned a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics and economics from Bowdoin College.  

Mossing joined in August with six years of experience in the life insurance and annuities industry. He previously held actuarial roles at Pacific Life and at Western & Southern Financial Group, where he conducted pension risk transfer pricing. He earned a bachelor of arts in mathematics from Northwestern University and a master of science degree in mathematics from the Ohio State University.

Sablak and Mossing will be based in Braintree, Massachusetts, and report to Dan Atkinson, consulting actuary at BCG.
