- Eastdil Secured, L.L.C. announced that Kevin Sheehan and Sean Gulian have been appointed to co-lead the firm’s National Housing Group for the Southern California region. Sheehan is joining the firm effective immediately. Gulian will join the firm effective September 15, following the fulfillment of his responsibilities and transition from Nuveen Real Estate.
- Colliers announced the return of veteran industry professional Paul Sablock and the addition of Nick Sablock to its Greater Los Angeles brokerage. The team specializes in leasing and sales of industrial properties across the region. Paul previously served 27 years as a Colliers team member. Joining Colliers from JLL, Paul will serve as EVP and Nick will serve as VP, based in the Downtown Los Angeles office.
- Artes Capital, a private real estate lender serving sponsors throughout the Western U.S., has appointed Tom Noble as COO. In this role, he will oversee business development and manage operations across the firm’s vertically integrated lending platform, including originations, underwriting, marketing, investor relations and asset management. Noble joins Artes from Archway Capital, where he previously served as COO and helped lead cross-departmental execution across the firm’s open-end funds, separate accounts and structured finance platform.
- Gary Bechtel, CEO of Red Oak Capital Holdings, LLC, has been named chairman of the California Mortgage Bankers Association (CMBA) for the 2025-26 term. A respected leader with more than three decades of experience in commercial real estate finance, Bechtel will guide the CMBA’s mission to advocate, educate, and advance the interests of California’s real estate finance industry.
- Patrick O’Haren has joined Cushman & Wakefield as Director on the Equity, Debt & Structured Finance (EDSF) team. Based in San Francisco, O’Haren will be responsible for origination and execution of institutional equity and debt placements across all asset types and capital structures in the West Region. He most recently served as VP, real estate at TPG Angelo Gordon.
- Gina Abbott has joined Stockdale Capital Partners as president of the firm’s property management division, Stockdale Management. She will oversee the management of all assets across the firm’s portfolio. With over 20 years of experience, Abbott most recently served as senior managing director of the property management division for Lincoln Property Company.
- El Segundo-based Landmark Dividend LLC appointed Clay Gregory as Chief Strategy Officer. Gregory joins Landmark from DigitalBridge, where he served as a principal on the investment management team.
- Ervin Cohen & Jessup LLP partners Joan Velazquez and Albert Valencia have been recognized in the “2025 Lawdragon 500 Leading Real Estate Lawyers” guide. The award honors top real estate attorneys around the world.
- Ware Malcomb, an award-winning international design firm, announced eight new leaders, formerly with CBRE’s U.S. Design Collective division, have joined the firm in its Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Miami and New York offices. The move follows last month’s announcement that the entire domestic Design Collective has joined the Ware Malcomb team. They include Christopher Herron and Lydia O’neal in Atlanta, Adrienne Harbarger and Sally Unger in Chicago, Lauren Prickett in Dallas, Sarah Szekeresh in Denver, Ernie Garcia in Miami and Matthew Danowski in New York.
- Abramson Architects, a Southern California practice known for its entrepreneurial spirit and hands-on approach to design, has joined global architecture and design firm Perkins&Will. The merger closed August 29. Abramson Architects’ portfolio spans commercial, cultural, healthcare, and residential work across greater Los Angeles and San Diego, as well as internationally.
