Michael Foley
Nuveen affiliate Churchill Asset Management has named Michael Foley senior managing director, head of institutional. Foley, who will report to CEO and President Ken Kencel, will oversee the investment specialist firm’s institutional fundraising and client relationships.
Foley also joins Churchill’s operating committee and takes on the additional role of co-head of institutional business development for Nuveen Private Capital. He will jointly run the division with David Burnside, who is head of business development at Arcmont Asset Management.
Foley joins the company from Franklin Templeton, where he had been head of U.S. institutional direct sales. Prior to Franklin Templeton, where Foley was head of US institutional direct sales, he led Guggenheim’s institutional client group for the Americas and Europe.
“We believe middle market private capital remains a strong risk-adjusted return opportunity for investors seeking yield, downside protection, and resilience across cycles,” Kencel said in a statement. “Michael’s deep institutional relationships and track record of scaling global distribution platforms will be instrumental.”
