Former Johns Hopkins CIO Joins Colorado Family Office

Jason Perlioni

The former CIO of Johns Hopkins University is joining multi-family office Cherry Creek Family Offices LLC as a senior partner and chair of the investment committee, the firm announced Tuesday.

Jason Perlioni will work closely with the firm’s managing partners, Kevin Burke and Tim Ulfig, and CIO Corey McKiernan.

“As I considered the next phase of my career, the opportunity to impact the industry-leading offerings, investment acumen and client service at CCFO made joining this team the clear choice,” Perlioni said in a statement.

Denver-based CCFO, founded in 2010, manages $3 billion in assets for ultra-high-net-worth multigenerational families.

Perlioni joined the $9 billion Johns Hopkins University endowment as CIO in 2017 and left in 2024. He was succeeded by Mike Barry, who previously had been the CIO of the Georgetown University endowment.

Prior to his role at Johns Hopkins, Perlioni was CIO of Pritzker Group Asset Management’s single-family office. He also previously was a director at UBS Global Asset Management and managed hedge fund investments in the endowment office of Northwestern University.

Perlioni earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Rice University and an MBA in finance from the Booth School of Business at the University of Chicago.
