Hightower Advisors Hires Former Osaic Executive as Chief Advisory Officer

Hightower Advisors is poaching a former Osaic executive to serve in the newly created chief advisory officer role, offering growth and practice management support for the firm’s advisors.

Before joining Hightower, Scott Hadley was Osaic’s senior vice president of RIA Solutions and led RIA strategies within the broker/dealer. Before joining Osaic in February 2024, he spent 17 years with Goldman Sachs in various roles.

At Goldman Sachs, Hadley worked alongside new Hightower CEO Larry Restieri, who said in a statement that Hadley brought a “fresh, advisor-first perspective” to the firm’s engagement model, and would help the firm support “outsized growth” for advisors.

“Scott’s addition reflects the momentum we are seeing across our community and the future vision of Hightower,” Restieri said.

Citywire reported earlier this week that Osaic’s President of RIA Solutions, Ed Swenson, had also left the firm, though it’s unknown where he will land.

Additionally, Hightower announced that Scott Holsopple will become chief strategy officer, overseeing strategy, internal and external M&A, and strengthening Hightower’s value proposition for clients and advisors. Jenn Anderson will become the firm’s chief marketing officer, supervising communications and brand needs.

According to LinkedIn, Holsopple joined Hightower in February 2020 as a chief growth officer. Before that, he was with Focus Financial Partners for about five years, serving as a managing director in his final role before leaving.

Anderson joined Hightower in October 2020 as a managing director for advisor growth. She previously worked at Insight Partners, Epoch Investment Partners and as a senior associate with Focus Financial from 2012 to 2017.

In February, Hightower announced that CEO Bob Oros would step down. Oros joined Hightower as CEO in 2019, following stints at Charles Schwab, LPL Financial and Fidelity, among others. Under Oros’ tenure, the business grew drastically from $57 billion to $1.8 trillion in assets under advisement. Oros stayed on as a board member.

Restieri joined Hightower from a seven-year stint as CEO of Goldman Sachs’ Ayco business, which specializes in workplace financial planning and advisory services, as well as various wealth and asset management positions at Goldman spanning two decades.
