Tech-driven fixed income and structured products trading firm InspereX appointed Brandon Laczkowski as managing director and head of RIA sales.
In his new role, Laczkowski will focus on expanding InspereX’s capital markets distribution within the RIA channel. Earlier this summer, the firm appointed Mark Whyman as managing director, RIA and private market solutions, as it tries to grow its RIA client base.
Most recently, Laczkowksi handled RIA distribution for HRC Financial Group and Goldman Sachs. Between 2014 and 2016, he also worked as a wholesaler at InspereX, under its previous name, Incapital. He began his career in 2011 as a financial advisor at Raymond James.
Laczkowski will report to Deryk Rhodes, managing director and head of wealth management solutions at InspereX.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brandon back to InspereX. He rejoins at a critical juncture for the firm as we focus on delivering our innovative, new issue investment solutions to the RIA channel. Brandon has a deep understanding of capital markets and the challenges facing advisors and their clients. His appointment is one in a series of steps we are taking as we make the RIA channel a top priority,” said Rhodes in a statement.
The announcement comes one month after InspereX appointed Ira Lehrman as chief technology officer.
Laczkowski’s appointment comes as financial advisors increasingly rely on bonds, especially investment-grade and high-yield bonds, to temper the impact of current market volatility.
InspereX was founded over 25 years ago by Tom Ricketts, who now serves as chairman of the firm and is the executive chairman of the Chicago Cubs. Its emergence coincided with the rise in RIAs’ use of structured products in the late 1990s and early 2000s.
