- One of the nation’s leading data center capital markets teams has joined Cresa. Michael Morris, along with Sumner Putnam and Matt Deutsch—formerly with Newmark—joined the firm to launch a Data Center Capital Markets and Advisory platform. The platform will provide advisory, planning, transaction structuring, tenant and landlord representation, as well as capital markets solutions for major data center projects. Morris is an industry leader in data center real estate acquisition, having completed over 1,000 transactions in more than 50 markets globally. Known as one of the go-to experts in the field, he will lead the service line and will be based in Cresa’s New York City office, with support from across the country.
- Matthews Real Estate Investment Services, a commercial real estate investment services and technology firm, welcomed Matthew Fogel as VP, specializing in landlord and tenant representation within the retail sector. With this hire, the Matthews New York office will launch its Retail Leasing Division locally.
- Newmark announces that Brian Carcaterra, an experienced advisor with 20 years of experience across both brokerage and ownership, has rejoined the Company as an Executive Managing Director in its Stamford, CT office. In his new role, Carcaterra will specialize in office tenant and landlord representation, as well as strategic advisory services across key markets such as Fairfield and Westchester counties. Carcaterra began his career at Newmark in 2003, where advised office tenants and landlords in Connecticut.
- Gibson Dunn said that David L. Perechocky has joined the firm’s New York office as a partner in the Real Estate Practice Group and Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT) Industry Group. Perechocky has a wide-ranging real estate transactional practice counseling REITs, real estate private equity sponsors, and other real estate companies and real estate-related businesses.
- Scarinci Hollenbeck, LLC has strengthened its Real Estate and Litigation practices with the addition of four New York City-based attorneys. Ryan Miller, who joins as a partner, is well known for his experience in both litigation and real estate transactions. The firm also welcomes Carolyn Kruk, Eric LaMons, and Scott Koop, who join as counsel.
