Nuveen Launches Partnership With Temasek, Hunter Point Capital

Investment manager Nuveen LLC announced on Wednesday a partnership with Singapore’s sovereign wealth fund, Temasek Holdings (Private) Ltd., and investment firm Hunter Point Capital L.P. that will see both HPC and Temasek make minority investments in Nuveen Private Capital and long-term commitments to the platform’s new and existing strategies.

Nuveen Private Capital was formed in 2023, following Nuveen’s acquisition of Arcmont Asset Management, which, in combination with Nuveen’s existing private markets subsidiary, Churchill Asset Management, resulted in the creation of an $87 billion private capital platform.

“As Nuveen Private Capital’s global reach continues to expand, our new partnership with these two highly experienced strategic business builders and capital investors powerfully affirms our original vision for an integrated, collaborative platform that honors the trust placed in us by our investors,” said Bill Huffman, CEO of Nuveen and chairman of Nuveen Private Capital, in a statement.

Nuveen manages $1.3 trillion in assets, of which $125 billion are invested in private capital. Temasek manages more than $324 billion in assets. New York-based Hunter Point Capital, which invests in general partner stakes in asset managers, manages more than $5.5 billion in assets.
