I am currently a Level 1 CFA and continuing the pursuit of the CFA designation. I have worked within wealth management for over 3 years, with a Bachelors in Finance. However, my investing journey goes back to about 17 years old when I was infatuated with the idea of dividend investing. Since then, I have expanded my interest to finding undervalued companies that the market has turned its gaze on. As a result, the majority of what I cover is small and mid-cap companies, however, that is not set in stone. I believe that a company needs to be looked at as a living entity, ran by people, for people. Reducing a company to just numbers on a screen can prove useful, however, I believe there is always more to the story. Since it is nearly impossible to predict how long the market will be irrational, I only consider long positions, with the idea of holding for a minimum of 1-3 years. My motivation for writing is to have an outlet to express my investment ideas with a community of like minded people and open them up to criticism and collaboration.
