Partners Group Taps Anastasia Amoroso as Chief Investment Strategist for Private Wealth

As it continues to ramp up its private wealth initiatives, private asset management firm Partners Group appointed Anastasia Amoroso as managing director and chief investment strategist for private wealth and retirement. Amoroso will start in her new role at the end of June and will be based in Partners Group’s New York office.

Amoroso spent the previous four years as chief investment strategist for private investment platform iCapital. She’s also held investment strategy positions with J.P. Morgan and Merrill Lynch. In her new role at Partners Group, she will provide insights on macroeconomic trends, private markets and portfolio management to wealth advisors and individual investors.

Amoro’s appointment follows several recent leadership hires for Partners Group’s private wealth business, including head of RIA sales Phil Shankweiler, who joined the firm in February, and Heather Grubbs, who came on board last September as managing director and global head of private wealth marketing.

In 2024, Partners Group reported record-setting fundraising for its evergreen program, with evergreen funds contributing 39%, or $8.4 billion, to its new AUM for the year. Partners launched seven new evergreen offerings last year and now has 20 evergreen funds spread across multiple asset classes. Overall, its evergreen program accounted for 32% of its $152 billion in total AUM as of Dec. 31, 2024. Among its client base, distribution partners working with private individuals represented 21% of its AUM at year-end 2024. Last fall, the firm partnered with BlackRock to launch a private markets model portfolio for private wealth clients.

“I am delighted to welcome Anastasia, Phil and Heather to Partners Group at this exciting time for our private wealth business,” said Robert Collins, partner and head of U.S. private wealth for the firm, in a statement. “With the addressable market anticipated to keep growing, Anastasia, Phil and Healther will have extremely valuable roles to play in building Partners Group’s private wealth business.”

Partners Group is not the only private asset manager expanding its dedicated private wealth team. In early May, Blackstone appointed Lazard Asset Management veteran Jennifer Abate to the newly created role of head of the RIA channel for its private wealth division. Last year, global real estate investment manager Hines launched its private wealth solutions platform and tapped The Carlyle Group’s Paul Ferraro to lead it. Meanwhile, Macquarie Asset Management hired Kimberly LaPointe in 2024 as head of wealth distribution within its client solutions group.
