Realta Wealth Loses Interim CEO

Elizabeth “Liz” Legacy, who was serving as interim CEO of Realta Wealth, the hybrid broker/dealer and RIA platform that rebranded from CoastalOne early last year, since February, has left the firm and joined TradePMR, according to public filings. She was also serving as the firm’s CCO.

It wasn’t immediately clear who would serve as CEO. Legacy and a Realta spokesperson did not return requests for comment, and Realta’s website does not list a CEO.

Legacy had replaced Kevin Keefe, who stepped down from his role as CEO in February.

Keefe, who joined CoastalOne in June 2023 and led the firm through the rebranding, recently resurfaced at Independent Financial Group, a privately held independent broker/dealer in San Diego, as president and chief operating officer.

Legacy is currently listed as a director and chief compliance officer at TradePMR, public filings show. Charles Reiling, the current chief risk officer at TradePMR, served as CEO of Realta before Keefe and transitioned out in early 2023.

She represents the latest in a string of executive departures from Realta this year.

Abbey Eastham, a former Cetera executive who joined Realta last October, stepped down as head of advisor relations earlier this year. She’s now serving as director of advisory at Independent Financial Group.

Realta also lost Tim Bowman, who was brought on in March 2024 as chief financial officer, earlier this year. He’s now serving in the same role at Yorkville Advisors.

Paul Tyler, who was hired as senior vice president and director of business development around the same time as Eastham, has also exited, joining NewEdge Advisors as regional director of business development.

InvestmentNews was the first to report these departures.

Realta Securities, the firm’s broker/dealer entity, and its RIA currently list Kathi Mansfield as chief compliance officer and Barrett Schultz as chief operating officer.

In January 2024, Realta rebranded from CoastalOne, a name that dates back to 1989, when the firm was established on Cape Cod, Del. The firm had been an owner-operated business until late 2022, when Ryan Hanks, founder and CEO of Madison Capital Group, a real estate investment firm, took a majority stake in Orange Street Holdings, the entity that owns Realta.
