In an impressive display of 3D artistry, the July edition of Render Royale, organized by the Render Network, captivated audiences with its imaginative entries. Artists worldwide participated, showcasing their ability to push the boundaries of digital storytelling through architectural dreamscapes, synthwave diners, and intergalactic themes.
This month, participants were given the freedom to interpret the theme as they wished, resulting in a diverse array of submissions. The winning entries not only captivated hearts but also challenged artistic norms, bringing alternate realities to life.
Prize and Judging
Each of the top three winners received USDC prizes: $1000 for first place, $500 for second, and $250 for third. Esteemed judges including Annibale Siconolfi, Amrit Pal Singh, Jess Wiseman, and Matt Milstead evaluated the entries based on originality, visual storytelling, and technical execution.
Octane Render Winners
A State Between by HOXID
HOXID’s piece, exhibited in northwestern Spain during the Trienal Sarria, offered a meditative exploration of the boundary between consciousness and automation. This cinematic poem, rendered in Octane and Cinema 4D, stood out for its ritualistic architectural cosmos.
The Quantum Rider by Laszlo Magyar
Set on Mars, this character-driven piece combined minimal design with a memorable narrative, delivering a surreal story of solitude in space.
