SEI has added 17 new asset managers to the lineup of its alternative investment platform SEI Access.
The managers include BlackRock, KKR, Invesco, Hamilton Lane, Alumni Ventures, Center Street Lending, Crescent Capital Group, Easterly Asset Management, FS Investments, Inland Real Estate Corp., Kingbird Investment Management, MDS Energy Development, Neutral, Pathway Capital Management, Peachtree Group, Tectonic Investors and WhiteHawk Income Corp.
SEI launched SEI Access in March. The alternatives marketplace initially featured products from Constitution Capital Partners, Golub, Neuberger Berman, OpenVC, StepStone Group, Tall Trees Capital Management, Cantor Fitzgerald, Capital Square and InvestX, among others. The move was part of SEI’s effort to benefit from its position as one of the larger U.S. administrators of private assets and its acquisition of alternatives fintech Altigo to increase its appeal to advisors looking for alternative investment options.
“The demand for personalization, choice and end-to-end investment experience continues to increase, and our ecosystem provides both expanded distribution opportunities for fund managers and broader access to private markets for wealth managers and advisors,” said Kevin Crowe, senior vice president and head of SEI Access, in a statement. “We’re thrilled to welcome these fund managers, who are key providers in the alternatives landscape. As interest in SEI Access continues to grow, we’re focused on building even more direct connections between fund managers and wealth managers to make investing in alternatives more efficient.”
As of year-end 2024, SEI Access supported over 250 wealth management firms and provided access to approximately 300 alternative investment funds from 165 managers.
The move follows SEI’s December acquisition of LifeYield, a tax optimization software company. That deal was intended to provide SEI and its client advisory firms with real-time, automated, unified managed household capabilities.
A few months prior, SEI launched SEIGPT, its new framework for building generative AI applications.
