Simon Quick, a Morristown, N.J.-based wealth manager with roots as a family office, has established a Texas presence with three new Dallas-based advisors formerly of Northern Trust.
Shei Unger, Nate Ohlinger and Ryan Moffett, all of whom come from Northern Trust, will lead the firm’s Dallas practice as managing directors and client advisors.
“We connected with Shei, Nate and Ryan through industry relationships and quickly saw strong alignment in values and client philosophy,” a Simon Quick spokesperson said via email. “Their planning-first approach, deep client commitment and experience in the Texas market made them the ideal partners to lead our expansion.”
The spokesperson declined to discuss their prior assets under management.
“Each advisor brings significant experience working with high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients, along with a strong reputation for delivering thoughtful planning and investment advice,” she wrote.
Unger also brings specific expertise in exit planning for business owners and holds a Certified Exit Planning Advisor designation, or CEPA.
“Bringing this capability in-house at Simon Quick enhances the depth of support we can offer, especially for clients facing liquidity events or ownership transitions,” Unger said in a statement.
Simon Quick started as a family office and eventually expanded to work with other families, institutions and high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
As of its most recent Form ADV, the firm had $6.7 billion in AUM.
Simon Quick’s advisors had previously worked with clients in Texas but did not have an established practice there. The firm hired Christian Yoss, head of client growth, earlier this year in Texas, so it now has four employees in the state.
