Central bank keeps policy rate at 7.75% amid domestic economic and global trade uncertainties

Sri Lanka’s central bank said it had opted to hold its policy rate today (July 23) after considering domestic and global developments, including trade uncertainties.

The Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) said its monetary policy board had decided to keep the rate at 7.75% during its meeting the previous day.
