Outsourced CIO provider Strategic Investment Group has named Brendan Burke managing director of investments and Kevin Killeavy head of private markets. and
According to the firm’s announcement, Burke will provide pension management and analytic skills for client relationships and contribute to its public markets and opportunistic investment teams. He will also be tasked with focusing on market and manager analytics and will serve as a voting member of Strategic Investment Group’s fixed-income subcommittee.
“We are thrilled to welcome Brendan to Strategic,” Strategic Investment Group CEO Nikki Kraus said in a statement. “He brings extensive experience managing complex pension portfolios and deep expertise in fixed income investing.”
Prior to joining the Strategic Investment Group, Burke was at Lockheed Martin for 15 years, where he managed the fixed-income investments for the aerospace company’s defined benefit and defined contribution retirement plans. Before Lockheed Martin, Burke was a vice president and portfolio manager at PNC Capital Advisors and a vice president and credit analyst at ASB Capital Management.

Strategic Investment Group also named Kevin Killeavy managing director of its private markets team. According to the company, Killeavy will focus on manager selection, portfolio construction and co-investment opportunities.
Before joining Strategic Investment Group, Killeavy was the CIO at the Montgomery County Employee Retirement Plans in Maryland, overseeing more than $8 billion in pension assets. He joined the company as an investment analyst and later was promoted to co-CIO.
