VestGen Wealth Partners, a wealth management firm launched late last year with 10 financial advisory practices and $5.3 billion in assets, has hired Rob Bondiman as national head of advisors and Matt LaLonde as director of insurance.
Bondiman joins from J.P. Morgan Securities, where he was executive director, market director of wealth management. Prior to that, he was a vice president and branch leader at Fidelity Investments. In this newly created role, he’ll oversee organic growth of existing advisor teams and the recruitment and development of next-gen advisors.
LaLonde joins from MVP Financial Services, where he was a managing director of insurance solutions. As the firm’s first director of insurance, he’ll lead VestGen Insurance Partners, the insurance division. He’ll oversee the integration of insurance into the firm’s financial planning process, including coordinating and closing insurance business, managing outsourced resources and operational execution.
VestGen launched in December 2024. It aims to provide a platform for retiring advisors looking to exit the business and next-gen advisors focused on growth. VestGen acquires businesses from retiring advisors, some of which can go to younger advisors. Before they leave the business, senior advisors act as mentors and consultants to their younger peers.
This follows news in February that VestGen had expanded its executive leadership team. The firm appointed Jason Hanavan as president and CFO; Ferian Nickelson as Chief Operating Officer; Greg Gessert as Chief Growth Officer; Timothy Woods as Chief Legal & Compliance Officer; Sarah Musante as Chief Human Resources Officer; and Leann Stevens as Chief Marketing Officer.
