The AI-powered notetaker and automated assistant platform for advisors, Zocks, and major wealthtech provider Orion announced a new integration this week.
The bidirectional integration enables the surfacing of client portfolio data and insights during client conversations. It automatically pulls “Orion-powered portfolio data, metrics and other client intelligence into advisor-client communications in Zocks,” according to the announcement.
This can include all manner of communication and interaction, from forms and emails to meeting preparation.
Today’s statement outlined the specific actions that Zocks would perform during a hypothetical client call or email exchange about market volatility concerns. The AI would access a client’s Orion portfolio data, identify relevant allocation insights and create personalized talking points for the advisor to address those concerns. The technology would then summarize any action items from that interaction and draft follow-up emails that would pull in relevant details from Orion and update client data in Orion with any new information.
Simply put, it’s about “bringing portfolio intelligence into the flow of client conversations,” said Reed Colley, president, Orion Advisor Technology.
Mark Gilbert, CEO of Zocks, said the new integration is meant to help advisors and large firms scale their businesses yet deliver more personalized advice faster than could be accomplished in the past.
Equity Compensation AI Startup Grantd Lands Undisclosed Amount of Funding
AI startup Grantd, which recently acquired the venerable Excel-based StockOpter equity compensation planning tool (which launched way back in 1999), announced this week an undisclosed amount of strategic funding.
The investment was led by Edward Jones Ventures (also an investor in estate planning platform Vanilla) with participation from TIFIN Studios, the incubation arm of TIFIN. Wealthmanagement.com reached out for more details on the funding, but had not heard back prior to publication.
That funding is meant to accelerate the completion and rollout of Grantd’s next-generation AI-powered platform. The technology will help advisors work with prospects and clients to manage what is estimated to be a multi-trillion-dollar pot of equity compensation—compensation that often goes unmanaged in the United States.
More specifically, the platform will help advisors provide actionable advice when dealing with clients’ complex stock options, RSUs, ISOs and ESPPs by “combining real-time market data, tax-aware insights, and scenario modeling … to provide clear, data-driven guidance that maximizes the value of equity compensation.”
The new platform is still in development and is expected to launch this fall. Advisors can sign up for early access from the Grantd website.
YCharts Has a New Integration With eMoney Advisor
The popular investment research, analytics and client communications platform YCharts announced a new integration with the financial planning provider eMoney Advisor this week.
The integration is ready and available to those advisors using both products.
In a nutshell, this new integration allows financial advisors to easily incorporate the portfolio analysis and research they perform in YCharts into the financial plans they build in eMoney.
Advisors can import client holdings from eMoney into YCharts for research, whether running portfolio analytics, evaluating risk tolerance and metrics or allocations, and perform side-by-side comparisons. The data generated can then be fed directly into proposal creation, eliminating manual steps and creating a more consistent advisor workflow.
Advisors can register to see the integration in action during a free live webinar on Sept. 23.
