Zurich Hires Sullivan From CNA for US Middle Market Head of Tech; IMA Hires Crochet as National Energy Practice Leader

Zurich North America, headquartered in Schaumberg, Illinois, hired Jeannie Sullivan as head of technology for its U.S. middle market team. She will report to Stan Bernard, head of industry practices for U.S. middle market at Zurich, a leading provider of commercial insurance products and services.

Sullivan has 35 years of insurance experience, including in roles focused on the technology industry. She most recently was at CNA Insurance Company, where she served as assistant vice president – commercial officer for the middle market business unit. Before that, she held leadership positions at Berkley Technology Underwriters, including executive vice president and chief underwriting officer.

She previously served as vice president for the technology and medical technology underwriting segment at OneBeacon Insurance Company. She also held various underwriting, sales and marketing roles in technology-focused practices at Chubb, The St. Paul Companies and PHICO Insurance Company. Sullivan is based in the Minneapolis-St. Paul area.

IMA Hires Crochet as National Energy Practice Leader

IMA Financial Group, headquartered in Denver, Colorado, hired Stephanie Crochet as national energy practice leader. Crochet has over 25 years of experience in the energy sector, most recently serving as director, risk and insurance with Plains All American Pipeline, L.P.

Crochet’s career launched in quality management with Det Norske Veritas before transitioning in 2001 to the brokerage side of the insurance “trifecta”—consumers, brokers, and insurers. She has spent the last 15 years in risk management for Plains All American Pipeline and GulfMark Offshore. As national energy practice leader at IMA, Crochet will oversee a team of over 75 energy insurance professionals and lead IMA’s expanding energy specialty practice out of Houston.
